review 1: This was unfinished seeming. The characters were given enough dimension that the story and characters were believable. I really enjoyed this story until about the middle of it.It seemed like the author just lost the story line or something and just wanted to finish it. This had a lot of potential and it was just kinda' tossed out the boat with an unfinished story. I'm really bummed about this because it is a prequel but the next book isn't even about these two characters. I wish there was more because the story was good! Then it just wasn't.
review 2: Not terrible. The book starts off very well, with Westley being beaten and then rescued by Chris. Beyond that there isn't much in the way of descriptions for much of anything. Westley insists that he is not clo
... moreseted yet for the better part of the book he does his best to keep anyone from finding out he is attracted to Chris. Chris is close to being a non-entity. We get learn very little about him. The sexual part of this romance, what there is of the romance, is nearly rated PG-13. I believe there is one or two mentions of a penis and beyond a vague description of a blowjob, the one actual sex scene is completely skipped over to be picked up at the post-coital cuddling. So, like I said, not terrible but it ends without a conclusion. A serial? Probably, but I don't think I'll read the rest. less
