review 1: A really disappointing collection that adds just a little background for some on the tv show. I enjoy the show despite the melodramatic over-reaching in the writing and acting and hoped the comic would eschew such shenanigans given the space limitations. They did, but replaced it with trite short pieces and some sexist tropes that I find odious (Helena, aka Huntress, sleeping her way into an Italian organization to learn their fighting moves for instance). Anyway, avoid.
review 2: I liked the TV show and hoped that the graphic novel would provide some extra depth or back story. Instead, it felt like a cheap promotional tie-in with the tv show. This didn't work as a stand alone novel and was awful as far as story-telling goes. It felt like they were trying to
