review 1: Marcia Clarks Rachel Knight novels get better each and every one. If you have not, I suggest (not mandatory though), that you get all of them and read them from the beginning. You will see Ms Clarks writing get better and Ms Knights personna grow. That being said, being a former prosecutor with the Los Angeles County District Attorney office, Ms Clark writes a lot of courtroom drama into her books, as well as some old fashioned "mystery solving." The books do get kind of lengthy and I am NOT complaining about that, in the past I loved long books, it seems as I age I prefer shorter novels because there is so much to read and only a limited amount of time to read it. I recommend this book especially if you like the current television rounds of courtroom drama shows. Pl... moreease read them all to get the complete picture but again, you do not have to read all of the series to enjoy any one book.
review 2: "Killer Ambition" will keep you turning the pages from beginning to end. I initially read this book (not realizing it was the third in the series) because I noticed the author's name was Marcia Clark. Curiosity brought me to read the book, but the mixture of investigative work, courtroom drama and smart and funny dialogue will keep me coming back for more in the series. The cover art caught my attention as well....I do love a great cover. As I said earlier, I will keep coming back to read more of Ms Clark's offerings. less
