review 1: Another author I am glad to get reacquainted with as she continues the Sharon McCone series. This time Sharon takes on a client who was acquitted of murder in the past and is now working on a book. She wants Sharon to revisit the murder trial and come up with solid proof that she really was innocent despite what many believe. Sharon starts but soon it appears that she has awakened someone who wants no poking around in things left unknown. Threats, attacks, arson and murder plague Sharon as she tries to sort out the history of the case.
review 2: In the latest installment of the Sharon McCone series, Marcia Muller weaves up a powerful tale of drama, danger and murder. When Sharon takes us on Caroline Warrick as a new client, she didn't know what to expect. Whe
... moren she investigates Caro's case to exonerate her name from her best friend's murder, things turn bad from worse. Warrick, a gun-rights activist, winds up dead on Sharon's doorstep. From there, she takes us on a lot of heat. We witness the danger she winds herself in, when someone tries to take her down from preventing her to get to the truth. During her home's fire, she takes it a personal mission to bring the person down. We'll feel for Sharon's pain and heartache, every step of the way. And in the end, we'll root for her to do things her way. What a rush of a wonderful read. I hope there's a new Sharon McCone novel comes out next year! less
