review 1: The Shadow Children series written by Margaret Peterson Haddix was suspenseful, keeping me reading constantly for long periods of time. It also kept me on the edge of my seat until the end of the book, but the suspense didn't stop me there, one end of a book would make me want to read the beginning of the next. And not only did the books make me curious, but Haddix added so many problems on top of problems that it made me want figure them out. The series, lastly, is relatable in its hidden ways, and very engaging, too. I would highly recommend reading Margaret Peterson Haddix's, Shadow Children series.
review 2: I read the first book, Among the Hidden back in middle school (I think... or maybe high school) and I really liked it, but I never finished the seri... morees. I randomly saw a picture of someone reading it on instagram and checked out the other books in the series.1. Among the Hidden2. Among the Impostors3. Among the Betrayed4. Among the Barons5. Among the Brave6. Among the Enemy7. Among the FreeI've listed the order since the books are not numbered! This series gets slow during times and switches characters (they even change names a bunch of times) so you really have to pay attention. But overall it was a very easy read and I enjoyed it. It's not the type of book (series) I would recommend for taking on a vacation, since it does get a bit old and boring at time. This is the kind of series you can enjoy reading for an hour before bed every night for a few weeks. Overall I loved the message and the writing, but it was slow. The first book is very catchy and made me determined to finish the series. less
