review 1: I read this based on a recommended reading list of New Adult titles to better acquaint myself with this developing genre...and it failed for me on many fronts. I gave it 2 stars because I did read through but I don't understand why this was included on a "must read" list. I don't connect well with "insta-love" stories and I'm also not a fan of older man with money allows young (poor) girl to strive for her dreams (with his money). Basically, not really for me.
review 2: 4.5 stars- truly a pleasure to read. If you want a contemporary romance without a whole bunch of crazy criminals shooting up the place or the end of the world, this is the book.I thoroughly enjoyed this love story. ... morea's pessimism was annoying at times, that to me was to be expected after a lifetime of living in a home w/ a mentally ill parent. I think the author got the dynamics of the relationship right, which made the book all that more enjoyable.I loved watching Cole's character transition and accept his love for Olivia.
