review 1: I Adored getting to know Blaine and Tiffany as they struggle to be together. Tiffany is a strong female who've been hurt by a man she married and worked hard to see him become a lawyer. As you learned about Jim you realize he's a horrible man. However, Blaine an alpha male in uniform is lovable but not without his share of issues. I enjoyed this book and they are one of my favorite couples.
review 2: 3.5 starsNot sure why, but this couple just didn’t do it for me. I didn’t like Blaine’s dominant, overly sexual persona in the bedroom and it just seemed like their relationship was more sex than heart. Even though there was emphasis placed on the couple really caring for each other and their situation and emotions, I didn’t buy it. And when these two mad
... moree love at first sight declarations similar to the other couples in this series but I was able to believe it with Mac & Maddie and the others..but not with Blaine and Tiffany. I also just couldn’t relate to Tiffany; her character seemed really inconsistent. Sometimes I thought she was a strong woman, but then sometimes she seemed weak and her actions dumb and annoying. I guess bottom line for me is that I didn’t like the main heroine and the hero wasn’t much better either. The scene near the end at the council meeting was overkill too… I get that the author wanted to show that Tiffany has all the support..but come on!! Really? Was all that necessary? The side stories were good though, I think without the side stories I wouldn’t have enjoyed this book as much. Surprisingly, it’s the reason I bumped up my rating. I was happy to read about the continuation of our past couples and also the progression or the start of new couples like Dr. David & Daisy, especially those who will not get their own books like Francine & Ned, Seamus & Carolina, Dan & Kara, Patty & Wyatt, etc. Although I’m still not ok with Seamus & Carolina (it’s still icky to me), I took what happened in this book a little better than when we were first introduced to this couple in the last book. less
