review 1: I have enjoyed the first four novels in the McCarthy's of Gansett Island series. But, I have to say, that of all the McCarthy brothers, Evan is the weakest. What a little boy in a man's body. Always blaming Grace for his inability to resist her or his feelings. What a load of horse hockey. I am truly interested in the next story for Owen and Laura, but honestly felt that Grace could have done better with someone other than Evan -- like Seamus, perhaps?
