review 1: Okay, this book just pushed all of my tragedy and romanticising-the-past buttons. Oh my god, I got aches and pangs in my stomach from the sadness over Alton and Winston. Ugh, just read this--that is my advice. It is gorgeous, clever, wonderfully written, and although I didn't feel the connection between Josh and Rad, the next book will hopefully take care of that. This book was all about Alton and Winston for me. Brilliant.
review 2: While this is a short story, I still found it satisfying (plus, it looks to be the beginning of a serial and the next installment is available on pre-order). Rad is a gorgeous young man, with an axe, knocking on Josh's door looking for a piece of history. Josh is a writer with a bad case of writer's block and a side of feeling ol... mored.The story is light on steam, but we do get to know the characters a bit. I definitely enjoyed the journey and look forward to the next piece of their adventure. less
