review 1: I have to say this was the most unexpected book I've ever read. Nothing of what I thought was gonna happen, happened. It was GREAT!Loved it so much. I won't give out names of anything that immediately would mess things up for many. Just know that now, I love Dante deeply. I never thought I would like the whole, folks tales, wraths, no-cellphone era kinda book. But this author is too great to not make any book completely amazing. I'm happy all the books I've been reading lately have been great, makes me all happy inside.
review 2: Wow! What a story and touched unexpected many issues that were not mentioned in the synopsis...but did I care that this story was about M/M romance, transgender romance, lesbian romance and lots of eerie stuff happening around them wh... moreich was really creepy and VERY captivating?..absolutely no.Marie wrote this book so well, I could actually visualise these dead and dying animals around and the rotting smell in the house....CREEPY....and poor Cami's trauma when others discovered her secret....my heart went out for her that she always had to hide her secret that she felt trapped in the wrong body... this story gave me a good insight about how life must have been for those who felt trapped in the wrong body...I cried when Dante discovered Cami's secret because she was so scared of being discovered...Dante...my new hero...was so kind to her and so loving...he is my new "dangerous but yummy hero"...Cami and Dante were just prefect for each other...This book also involves other couples' stories...the end is a bit different but not icky-different...just different from usual ends...but then this book is different because I thought it was thought provoking, empathy feeding kind of different. I have not read a book involving MM, FF and transgender romance before and I really felt all mushy in heart at the end...I loved this book.This story was heart warming for me to see people finding their other halves and creepy because of the paranormal phenomenon, mesmerising for the way Marie portrayed the characters,the events/actions/adventure...oh! did I mention that the book was also sizzling?...yep it was sizzling too....warning: Dante is bad, ruthless, but loyal to his core....This guy is sure will spoil you for your previous heroes.....:) less
