review 1: i am so glad my library got this book on loan for me from a larger library system. I have followed this series, and was excited to see what was in store for Maxine Kiss, and her new husband Grant. It turns out that there is plenty to dive right into, and get involved in.Something has caused her protection, her boys, the reaper kings to be torn away from her. She has to save them, and the world, and discover why this is all happening to her. There is also some new surprises, and some old friends show back up.I love this series, and I hope their is a new one waiting for me to read soon. The whole idea is new, and the plot is well thought out, as well as the characters. I like her writing style. I am a fan....
review 2: One of the best Hunter's Kiss books yet, thi... mores showcased Maxine and Grant's great love in a new, mature way. This story starts with Maxine's demon tatoos being ripped painfully off her skin, leaving her no protection during the day. A war of demonkind is coming so this is really NOT a good time. She discovers her little demons, who she loves as family, are the feared Reaper Kings of old. She discovers why women of her line have always been murdered after the tatoo demons migrate to the daughter. She discovers who her father is. She discovers just who SHE is. A wonderful edition to the series! less
