SEAL Team 12
review 1: Book 6 in the Seal Team 12 series is Harlan and Ellie's story. A good story and nice romance that I I didn't expect to like. Harlan wasn't one of the team that I ached to read about especially after Solomon's story which left me kind of weary fo the series. But HArlan proved to much more likable then I expected and Ellie was a great strong character; a single mom struggling to raise 3 young sons and prove her independence at the same time. The suspense was there and I liked the introduction of the secondary players (Blake and Skylar who should probably get their own story if she ever continues this series).I loved when Colton called Harlan "Daada"and the SEAL just melted wishing he could enjoy the moment.
review 2: While this novel had a bit of romance in it
... more, the main story was the kidnapping of a mother's three children. Ellie, a single mom, is on her way to drop off a paper at college when she is thrown out of her car and strangers drive off with her three boys. She turns to Sean, a Navy SEAL, who has feelings for her in order to find her children as the police and the FBI seem to be accusing her of killing her own children. Sean and Ellie search out Carl, the father of the boys who swears he has nothing to do with the abduction. However, in a twisted maze of lies, they find a group called the Centurions who are descendents of the plantation owners in the Civil War. They believe in handing down their power to male children and the head of the group has no male offspring (or so it seems). A good mystery with lots of twists and turns that kept me interested to the last page. less
