review 1: Walker's French policeman, Bruno, is charming, smart, and an all around good soul who plays Father Christmas for the town children, and puts essential clues together to catch the bad guys. As an added bonus, Walker transports the reader to the French countryside with an ease only possible by someone who knows and loves the place. What's not to love? I'll definitely look for the other Bruno mysteries.
