review 1: Number five in the series and I thought a bit long and dry until the action really took off and it was a merry ride. Bruno is like a dog with a bone, he will get to the bottom of the crime or mystery no matter what. Along the way the reader enjoys the life he has built, his friends, animals, his colleagues, life in the small village, and of the region, great food, good wine, affairs, culture and history. This book was ancestry, WWII heros, caves and their secrets, land deals, with brothels and exorcism thrown in. A very good read....bring on book six!
