review 1: Guitar notes by: Mary Amato Guitar notes is a story about two children who go to a new school they are both in 7th grade and are musicians.they bond together with a old craggy guitar. At first it was only tripp who would play the guitar and the lyla was interested. She was a almost professional violinist and she picked up the guitar and started playing. They become the bestest friends and one day they have to be separated how can they live without each other? Well you'll have to find out!
review 2: This drew me in so much more than I expected. Knowing nothing about the premise, I was hooked by the 3rd chapter. I found myself reading, anticipating when the next note would come. I loved the part that music played in the healing of both of these teens. I'm a bit
... moredisappointed that there was so much dishonesty. I completely understand how trapped and misunderstood the teens were by others. And I'm glad that it all ended well with everyone happy and understanding. But it still felt like the parents came off as the villains and in the wrong. They had every right to be hurt and upset and scared by their children's actions. Honesty would have been better. Still, the clandestine notes and meetings were part of the reason I was drawn into the book. A light read with a lot of depth. I'm looking forward to listening to the songs before I turn the book in! less

The songs are fun. How the two of them come together is sweet.
