review 1: At first I didn't think much of this story. The competition to figure out the mystery wasn't all that new. But the poetry made the story come alive - and the characterization went a whole lot deeper than I ever expected in an easy kid's book. I was astonished, and enjoyed greatly figuring out the clues. The trivia at the end is challenging for an adult (yay for Google) and takes this entire story to a whole new level. I really liked this book a lot and would call it 4.5 stars.
