review 1: I only have one tiny negative thing to say and that is that the wording was too complicated. I found, a lot, that things could have been said in 3 words but yet she wrote 30. It took its toll on my patience and made me skim rather than read every word in some areas. It wasn't overly done and it didn't take away from the greatness and sweetness of the story, but it just kinda sucked LOLAnywhoooo .... on the the 4 star goodness! So we have both main characters basically starting over in their lives and putting their lives back together from 'not so good' pasts. It sounds like a perfect romance, right? Well, there's a catch. She's rooted to her home and so is he. And that kids, is an obstacle, a big one. That's all I will say on that because I do not give away plots in my rev... moreiews. You are gonna have to read this sweet book to find out.This was a very well written heart-warming story and I cant wait to see where Mary Ann Rivers takes me next with her writing! review 2: I wanted to LOVE this book. I saved it knowing that The Story Guy was one of my top picks of 2013.Unfortunately, what worked for TSG didn't fly for a longer book. The slow, lyrical build that is so sweetly built to something absolutely beautiful left me, in places in LIVE, feeling like...ok, let's move along. I would say, this feeling mostly came with the sex scenes in the middle of the book that sometimes felt like filler.Also, it seemed odd to me that a heroine who started out so shy wasn't really shy at all.This book for me was a solid 3.5. I'll be checking out the next book in the series even tho none of the other characters drew me in - I trust Ms. Rivers to do that when they have they're own platform. less
