review 1: Everybody has a story. Whether its interesting or not. Just so happens this guy has an interesting story, really sad but awesome story. He is such a strong character. His name is Brian Newburgh. Carrie West is a librarian. Very strong, eager for new things. Every Wednesday she meets Brian at the park just for kissing. Who can say no to that? Nothing else is suppose to happen. Until she gets eager to know his story. Which he doesnt want to tell her. Brian is an attorney awesome job lots of schooling though. Brian tries everything to turn off his feelings to Carrie, it may or may not happen. He doesnt think she would be a good fit because of what happens after his day job. This is a very sweet story very short. But I loved how it turned out.
review 2: Wasn't sure
... more what to think at first. The way the h/h meet was a little weird but the rest of the book was so good. The hero's a caregiver for his sister and the emotions he expresses and the thoughts he has were so real. I've been a caregiver for a loved one and this book brought me to tears. And the fact that it's a novella works in its favor because I think a longer book would have become too much; maybe even depressing. But as it is, it was a very surprising read for me. I did not expect to be so moved by the story. Will definitely look for more books from the author. less
