review 1: Honestly, it's not that I didn't like this book, but I preferred the first two books in the series, they had more drama, more sublime in them.Since the events in this book are played 6 years before the beginning of the series, showing us the circumstances of the romance of the third and youngest sibling of the Dudley family, Lady Angeline with her husband Edward Ailsbury, the new Earl of Heyward.- I felt that it was normal, without any misstep, except the simple misunderstanding from Angeline's side- Heyward was the one of the rare men who realize that they in love and they don't deny it so vehemently- Angeline was such a pure innocent, and her festive hats - I loved the additional mismatched couple- I almost shed tears in the epilogue, I just loved them all over thenOvera... morell, *thumps up*
review 2: I usually read books like marathons. Once I begin, I want to finish as soon as possible. However, this book was extremely boring. The characters aren't well developed in my opinion, thus leaving an unfinished impression. In other words, Balogh doesn't describe the characters well and it makes it hard for readers to connect. Plus, the book is terribly slow. I feel like I was three fourths way through before I even reached the climax. The only reason I finished it was because I had already wasted my day reading through it, waiting for something to happen. less

I liked Angie and Edward, but there was something missing that is why it is 3 not 4 stars.

It was an ok book. I didn't find it super fabulous but I didn't hate it either.

This story was adorable. Easily the best of the trilogy.

I loved going back into the 1800's for this love story.
