review 1: This is a super short cute and funny look into the adventures of Jory Harcourt..and his hero, Sam “Mr. Hunky” Kage. It’s free, it’s entertaining, and it’s another chance to see Jory being Jory. What’s not to like!?! Ok, so I finally get it..five books later. For the longest time I was comparing this book to other Police/Civilian M/M romance suspense books (like the Life Lessons series by Kaje Harper)…but I really shouldn’t have. This is a romantic COMEDY suspense series. Jory’s character is like that cute, well intentioned, clumsy heroine that keeps getting herself into trouble while everyone who loves her comes in for the rescue lead by the hero. I guess we really aren’t supposed to take Jory’s character too seriously..he’s funny, eye candy, and ha... mores a good heart. I am a little disappointed not to see more depth to his character, but I won’t dwell on that and just enjoy his company.
review 2: Just fabulous....anything I can get on Jory...makes me soooooooo happy. As usual....things just happen in Jory's life...he's like a full-speed "motor-mouth" and in Sam & Dane's view...a 'trouble magnet"....such an apt description!!Thanks so much Mary for sharing another day of Jory's more than hectic and fab life. Can't wait for his next adventure.I read this for free on the author's website. less
