review 1: The third book in the Trouble In Texas series by Mary Connealy is everything you would expect from that author - another hilarious western with a sweet romance and some suspense thrown in too. I love that Ms Connealy's books are clean. They do not even come close to crossing the line and I appreciate that. They are also funny. The way she words things makes me laugh out loud. :)I would recommend reading the first two books in the series, because this story jumps right in where the last one leaves off, and all the same characters are involved so you might find yourself somewhat lost if you start off here. I liked Tina when she arrived on the scene as Jonas' younger sister from back East. Vince has been around since the beginning of book one and we knew his story was coming ... morenext. It did a decent job of wrapping up the series and the few loose ends in the storyline. I did have a couple problems with this one though. While it seemed like the person telling the story talked rapidly, the nothing really seemed to progress very quickly. By two thirds in this was starting to be mildly annoying. And at times things went beyond quirky to downright silly, like the story was written for a much younger audience. In general though, it's a cheery, light summer read and if you liked the first two books in the series this one is worth a read too. This book has been provided courtesy of Baker Publishing Group and Graf-Martin Communications, Inc. review 2: It wouldn't be a great Western if there weren't at least one good brawl in the story, which is how Stuck Together begins. The action starts right at the beginning and never stops. Add the romance, humor, friendship, and faith and you've got an even better story. All of these are what makes up Stuck Together, the last book in Mary Connealy's Trouble in Texas Series, such a pleasure to read. I can assuredly say that it is a great ending to a great series. A defininte must read!***Mary Connealy's Trouble in Texas Series is about the lives of four friends, former Civil War soldiers known as the Regulators, whose experiences created a bond so strong that their motto is "There is a friend that sticks closer than a brother." Although each book in the series can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend the entire series. less
