review 1: Ok-what do I love more in a story than a hot love scene? Quirky, intelligent characters who (despite their outward perfection) have it in them to be humble. Characters (human or vampires, demons, weres, shifters, etc.) who make it his/her business to help others--whether by trade or on personal time--are ones I can personally identify with. This is why I love Hughes' (or is it Hughes's?) stories so damn much. Her characters have a sense of humor about themselves and are always stronger than they think. It's gratifying to read about how the couples in Hughes' stories help one another realize each other's potential by discovering themselves in the eyes of someone he/she cares for. This is a recurring theme in the author's stories, and this, along with the promotion of ... moreunconditional, monogamous love between two people is what keeps me buying each and every book released in the Biting Love series. Oh, yeah, and the plots are good too. That's the thing. I could be wrong but to me a story with a good plot is one a reader does not actively analyze until the ride is over. The author pulls the reader along at such a pace that the reader has no choice but to hold on and watch--lest they miss something. Then the story ends and the reader is like "Whew! That was good!"Needless to add, but I will anyway, go out and get this book! Haven't read the others? No problem-each can stand alone; however you'll be missing out on a peppering of private jokes/jabs/references which I promise are more gratifying if you are 'in the know'. So, once again pointing out the obvious--get all the books in the series!
review 2: Synnove is on a mission, to get hot ad man Ric Holiday to create an ad campaign for her town. Synnove doesn't really have experience in pitching an idea, after all she is a doctor on a self appointed sabbatical. but that doesn't stop her on her quest.Ric is intrigued by Synnove, she blurts out random facts , is sex on a stick, and has a way of twisting her words so that she never tells a lie. As a vampire, he should be able to manipulate her mind, but Ric finds there is something incredibly special about Synnove and despite her best pitch, he doesn't want anywhere near her town. Of course when one of his worst enemies puts Synnove in jeopardy, Ric will stop at nothing to protect her. This was pure fun and sass. Loved that Synnove was uber intelligent and spouts off the most random medical facts. Ric is a sensual character, he is magnetic and reluctant to get involved with Synnove even though she is too tempting to resist. Excellent read. less

Not as fun or as funny as the previous books, but still ok.
