review 1: 2.5-3 Stars. Although this is part of a series it can be read as a standalone but leaves you hanging. The writing style is different but interesting. If I had to guess the author is not an American. There are a lot of phrases/terms I didn't know. The main character is spunky with a case of hyper active word vomit...add in some seduction and buckle up for a wild ride.If you like a spunky female, a hunky master vampire, music, sex, and a wild ride this book is for you.
review 2: I love Nixie, so I was glad to get another Nixie-fix in this short story. While this is a short work, the story covers all the fictional bases, and I'm especially pleased with the heroine's methods of solving her own problems--with a little help from her hunky husband/vampire/lawyer and ... morethe "Ancient Scary Dude."OZ BITES fits neatly into the series and world Mary Hughes has carefully crafted, and it matches the tone and humor perfectly. less
