review 1: This is not the 1st book in the series, but the 2nd one ... The main character Nixie has a way with words and it gives for very funny conversations to make you laugh out loud ... again! Although this is one of these vampire books, it was very amusing, and you almost ... start to like the vamps! Now, I have to read the 1st book to find out how Bo and Elena got together and then I'll guess we'll continue the series ;-)
review 2: Like the other reviews, I really wanted to like this book. However, it got bogged down with too much of everything. The author tried too hard with the humor, slang, sex, music and german references. Even the story included vampire politics, a festival and the gangs.Nixie also had to be one very stupid 25 year old. It took 1/3 of the book ... morebefore she realized she was involved with vampires even though it was so very in her face. It got old after awhile. less
