review 1: I found this book very disappointing. I thought the premise sounded like a fun twist on the classic story - a little lighthearted, maybe, but interesting. And I've always enjoyed stories where Georgiana's character is given more agency. Combined that with Anne finally getting her own point of view, and I really expected to enjoy this book. However, I could only get through the first few chapters. The writing was so immature, I felt like I was reading a book written for (or by) a middle schooler. The sentences were clunky, Mr. Darcy's POV was awkward and stilted, and it felt very much like the same story, only with all the grace and subtlety of language taken out. I have read other reviews that mention that only the first few chapters are from Darcy's POV, and then it switc... morehes over to the "main" plot, but I couldn't last that long. There are too many other books out there, even books retelling the Pride and Prejudice story, to waste time on one that is so painful to read.
review 2: A Perfect Bride for Mr. Darcy has a strong Georgiana and a strong Anne deBourgh. It starts with Darcy arriving before the assembly and quickly whips through their early encounters. He can't get her out of his head and when he hears she is visiting Hunsford he hurries there with Col. Fitzwilliam. After the botched proposal Anne intervenes with Lizzy and manages to get Lizzy & Darcy together at Pemberley. Of course Lydia causes havoc. There are a lot of new characters, Bingley's older brother, Darcy cousin the Earl of Matlock (Antony) who is a hot mess but fun. less

Okay, I think I am going to take a break from the P&P books... This one was good, a little boring.

Okay, but I liked the other charecters better than Elizabeth and Darcy.

Basically Pride and Prejudice from Mr. Darcy's sister point of view.
