review 1: Really well told story and beautifully written. The author brought these characters (based on actual people) to life. It made me want to learn more about this particular time in history and about these events. Really, really good. I love a book that can transport me somewhere else (even through the terrifying experience of a witch trial in 1612) and make me feel as though I've truly experienced something real. This book does that. This is very well done historical fiction.
