review 1: I loved the ideas in this book and the moral issues that it tackles. When do we really become human and when do we stop being a creation of nature? I also liked the settings and backgrounds as well as futuristic ideas as well as a great plot twist! However, I did find Audrey slightly hard to deal with but she defiantly became a better person later on which was her growth through out the book into an adult. I would recommend it
review 2: this book is unlike anything i would normally read but i really enjoyed it!. Its a young teenager type book though perfect for an adult too. Its set in 2115 and tells the story of Audrey who lives with her family and an Echo (robot) that suddenly goes wrong and kills all of her family. Audrey has to go and live with her wealthy
... moreUncle and his family of Echoes. It takes a long time for Audrey to feel safe and secure in this new home. Then Audrey meets Daniel - an Echo thats a robot which shouldnt have feelings or emotions. Audrey doesnt want Daniel anywhere near her but Daniel can sense she is in danger. What will he do? this book touches on love, grief, good versus bad. It also gets you imagining what it could be like in the future. Can we really travel the world in 2 minutes! Great little read! less
