review 1: Well, I finished this book in about three days so I believe that's worth something! Overall, I really enjoyed it and I'm so pleased that I won this from the first reads contest. In my opinion the storyline of this book was somewhat reminiscent of the TV show Walking Dead. So, if you're into that sort of thing this would be right up your alley and I would definitely recommend it . I think the best part of this book would have to be the characters, and the emotional roller coaster their on. Costello really does a great job of making sure the reader can truly feel what the characters are going through, and empathize with the situations their facing on daily basis. The only bone I have to pick with this book is the way ended. After everything we went through over the course of... more their trek to find a safe haven, the ending was just way to abrupt for my liking.

If you are a fan of "The Walking Dead" then you will love this book. I had not read the first book "Vacation", but now can't wait to read it. This book is dark, but not overly gruesome and tells the character's stories very well. "Home" is not just another zombie book and underlying everything there is something sinister happening in this post-apocalyptic world. less
