review 1: 4.5 stars! The Oatmeal's first book contains one of my all-time favorite of his comics: The 5 Types of Crappy Hugs. *swoon* I'd read most of the comics in this compilation before, but it was a while ago, so I found new enjoyment in re-reading them. Plus there were ones I'd never read. They are all good. Some are smile-worthy, some will make you chortle out loud, and many will make you ponder and perhaps even learn something. If you don't know about The Oatmeal, this is a great place to start.
review 2: If you're not familiar with The Oatmeal, the comics are off color and irreverent, but so perfectly ridiculous that when they make me laugh, it's of the snort/cackle out loud variety (rather than "heh that's funny" said to myself).Loved the Canadian strip and the pe
... moret peeves. Always makes me paranoid when I start one of the pet peeve strips, I get hit with that little edge of paranoia that wonders if I'm THAT person. As I read I check each one off: no I don't do that, I don't do that, or that... phew, I'm not THAT person. lol less

Comics felt kind of random. Some were quite funny, but a lot of them were just weird.

It was very funny, but I would have enjoyed it better if there was no slutshaming.
