review 1: Griffin King is a twin (and his twin married in an earlier King book), who runs a security firm. He is living at his cousins home while his cousin is out of town on a "babymoon". Nicole Baxter is a single mom who lives next door.Griffin spends a lot of time in the hot tub. Nicole can't help but to notice and Griffin "notices" that she is noticing him. Griffin has sworn off single moms -- because he gets too attached to the kids. Griffin ends up setting fire to Nicole's kitchen! He calls another King to give him an estimate and he makes it his "mission" to give Nicole the kitchen of her dreams, even though she has only approved a kitchen that will replace what she had before the fire.I just love all the King books. You can't go wrong with Maureen Child and this is her... more best series IMHO.Highly recommended.
review 2: This book had me smiling and I ended up liking it quite a bit. Is it different than the norm? No, but it is well written with good characters. Nicole the heroine was in a previous book. She is a divorced single mother who works hard to earn and give a good life to her son. Romance doesn't feature on her list of things to do, since her ex burned her bad but that doesn't mean she can't appreciate the good looking King men especially the hero, who is house-sitting for her best friend right next door. I liked the heroine a lot, she was independent and strong. The conversation where she propositions the hero for one night made me laugh. Of course their one night extends to a fling and more. As usual the hero has to be knocked on his head to get himself straight but a well written book. less
