review 2: Oh my freaking God!!! This book is super duper awesome!!! It may starts a little bit boring, but when our two amazing main characters return to McDonald's land, then the story starts to get more and more exciting and it hooked me right away with all the smoking hot sex scenes and the evolution of lov
... moree between Rionna and Caelen. Rionna comes up as a really strong, independent woman who also wants to fully own the heart of her husband, whom she has gradually fallen in love with. And when it comes to protecting her beloved husband, she's a badass! I can never imagine there are any other female heroines in other historical romance novels who fight like true warriors when pregnant like her! And Caelen is also an interesting character, a strong warrior with his heart being covered by the guilt from the past of a terrible mistake caused by blindly in love with the enemy. But when he falls in love, it's like the most beautiful thing he's ever felt, and that love for Rionna has always been there inside of him. And who knows he has just a soft side when they're in their bedroom and at the end of the novel when he conveys his love to her. Sweet!Overall, this is like the best book in the McCabe trilogy, and a really wonderful way for readers to say goodbye to the whole series (although at the end when I closed the book, I still wanted more of these two amazing characters ^^). less

I've got a question for this book. If Rionna is so stubborn, independent and willful, why does she give in so easily. You'd think she'd fight Caelen a little, but she doesn't. She does her thing, he orders her to do whatever he wants, she gasps but scurries off to obey. Then she gives an internal diatribe about how he had another thing coming if he thinks he can boss her around when really he doesn't.And for some reason they both completely change character when they're in bed. This book is stupid.
