review 1: I just want to say Maya Banks is totally awesome! She placed Softly at Sunrise at the end of Shades of Grey. Not a snippet, or synopsis, or sample... no people the WHOLE F-ING STORY! Most authors would put it out as a ebook in order to get extra income off of it, but not Maya Banks. She placed it at the end of her main novel, for the same price as one of her regular books. I got two books for the price of one loooool, soooo awesome! Great not that that rant is over. Softly at Sunrise are for those fans who totally fell in love with the first KGI novel, Ethan and Rachel Kelly. It shows a little happy sunlight in their once doom and gloom marriage. It was really cool and sweet to see Ethan and Rachel finally getting their little slice of happiness.
review 2: Well
... more, okay. Despite the change in narrator and the craptastic job he did reading this one, the story still rang true. But, dear god, if I hear another horrifyingly sweet, saccharine version of a southern accent one more time... Also, note to the narrator - not all the Kelly wives were raised in the South (in fact, only ONE was), so there was absolutely no need for ALL of them to have accents. ugh /endrant less
