review 1: Much better than the first one, glad I've stuck with this series....so far. The characters are getting a little more depth, the connection between them a little more believeable. I like the added move of going into his charater more than hers. She still seems a bit typical, we knew she'd get attached, we knew shed freak out, but Sebastian is proving to be the more interesting one. Looking forward to #3, and hopefully I can get it to 4 stars...I want to, but it's just not there yet for me. Good enough to keep reading because of the length, but still on the fence overall.
review 2: ITS ALL STILL A MYSTERY Second book which picks up right from where book 1 ended. After discovering a suggestive text on Sebastian's phone Sophia runs. But after a 2 minute conversatio
... moren with Sebastian things are sorted (really!) he then takes off on a business trip for weeks on end. So once again there's more scenes of Sophia's job. I hope that somewhere along the line her job is tied in to the mystery other than just there to fill out the story.Although Sebastian and Sophia had agreed that their relationship would remain casual, Sophia is starting to have strong feelings. She'd like to find out more about Sebastian but he shuts down at her every attempt. He has a tattoo on his chest, when questioned about it he said it was done on impulse when he was young. But then an item on the news concerning a dead diplomat catches her eye as he's been murdered and the picture of him shows him shirtless and he's got the exact same tattoo as Sebastian. But despite her continued misgivings about Sebastian and his secrets she lets it go. Till she decides to surprise him at his office. But it's her that gets the surprise.Obviously the author is saving the big reveal for the final book. I sincerely hope after the big build up its worth it. Once again in this there's more mundane scenes of Sophia's workday. I was really surprised how she never makes any attempt to find out more about Sebastian on her own, she's portrayed as an intelligent woman. Has she never heard of the Internet? She never makes the slightest attempt to even do a quick search on him. I found that odd. Especially with all the questions going round in her head. As with the first book this ends on a cliffhanger. less
