review 1: I was asked to read this book as an ARC so I knew going in it was book 3 in a series with a HEA ending. Let me just say that I will def be going back and reading books 1 and 2 ASAP!! I need to know more on Jake and Gillian from book 1 and Allie and Mike from book 2. This was such an amazing story!! I knew after that intense and nail-biting prologue I would not be able to put this book down and boy was I right!!I loved Jason and Tori and the relationship the two had together from the start. After the hurt and pain Tori has suffered in her past it was great to see her be so open with Jason and at least willing to give him a chance. Jason was so sweet and loving when it came to Lexi that it just melted my heart!! I don't know the backstory with Gillian and her ex husband Loga... moren since I haven't read book 1 yet but after reading this story I really like Logan and I hope he gets his own book and a HEA. Maybe he will hook up with Tori's best friend Tessa (hint hint) Tessa was such a character, she always had me laughing!!I can't wait to read more on this series!! Great Job Melanie!! You will now have a new stalker :)
review 2: Love Required by Melanie CodinaTHANK GOD FOR FLAT TIRES!Jason & ToriI would have to say that this book is not too dark or mysterious but definitely not light hearted either! In fact the angst in the story is almost right away and then not too much till the climax. It's funny, tragic, and unexpected at times therefore keeping you on your toes!Jason is "the boy next door" in every way imaginable! He can keep you laughing and swooning over him for hours! And he loves kids to boot! What more could a girl want! Well, included in this package is one hot hunk-a-man and a gentleman!Tori is all kinds of messed up, but on the mend for sure! She's seen loss, turmoil, and violence and seems to be pushing through it fine. She's an awesome Mother, a wonderful friend, and more importantly, she's a great girlfriend! Great supporting character cast in Jason's entire entourage of family and friends. It's always nice to have that base in a story so that you can add things in to make you laugh out loud. One character that comes to mind is that crazy Tessa. I was wiping tears away after reading her dialogue. The build-up to the climax was good. The dialogue flows very nicely and the pacing is great. It's 365 (Kindle version) pages long and for this reader it was just right to fill a few cozy nights huddled up by the fire!4 Stars! less
