review 1: I'm not sure what all this nonsense is about not liking Lucas after reading Yanked. Or, even worse, how the author ruined their story... what?! News flash: couples have problems. People make mistakes. This wasn't simply a cute little epilogue, meant to tie Lucas and Mia up in a pretty pink bow. It was a novella, complete with some conflict and character development. Yes, I was upset for Mia. Yes, Lucas screwed up. Yes, I still love him.I would actuality love to read even more about these two at this point! I was incredibly happy with the ending, and reading Yanked made me realize how much I had missed these characters (I'm super late in reading this one!). As always, I love Melanie's writing and can't wait to read more from her! Now, on to Forked!
review 2: Arr... morerg, I’m greedy and I want more. Yanked was such a tease I want more about Lucas and Mia. It was too damn short.After planning a surprise visit to Lucas and to find Jessica there in a bathrobe plus the fact that he didn’t say anything to me would have sent me over the edge. I wouldn’t have been able to talk to him that night. I would have at least taken a night to cool down and think things through before talking to him again. But Mia loves the man and it’s just a book so to move it along, she speaks to him. At least he was decent enough to rent a room for the weekend to make up and explain. Lucas is a good man and he just didn’t think but still. Mia just forgave him way too easy for my taste.Lucas became less scared about ”forever” and what that means to Mia, really happy about that but still too short, just tease us more why don’t you. less
