review 1: 4.5 stars! I would've given it 5 if the main character, Lia, was a little more likable in some places. I liked her for the most part, but her attitudes and actions really got to be a bit overbearing at times. Other than that, what a fun, clean, lovely book that I didn't want to put down. I love all of Melanie Jacobsen's books and I hope she keeps writing for many years to come! I can't get enough.
review 2: What an amazing novel! It was clean and intriguing. Lia is a painter that ran from new York's lights, fame, and wealthy to the comfortable serenity of the mountains of Utah. She stopped painting because of what it took from her, but when she's asked to paint on commission, she does it for her niece, Chloe and her sister, dani. She feels her painting this time
... more and despite painters block, has images flowing from her to the canvas. New York also build walls around her where men are concerned. She misjudged Auden as a player when he really saw her for who she was and accepted her differences. less
