review 1: 4 Stars. This is a very cute story; not groundbreaking or anything, but that's not really what I'm looking for in a romance, anyway. I'm not usually a fan of the "marriage/relationship of convenience" trope because it bothers me when the relationship starts off with lies; however, it is a very nice trip, following Jessie and Zach's journey to love. It was nice to have characters who for the most part communicate with one another—I especially liked the aspect that Jessie is usually extremely private, so her opening up to Zach is what tips her family off to her feelings. Zach is a little bit of a male Mary Sue by which I mean he is a little too perfect sometimes, but it isn't annoying to me in the way it sometimes can be (the sociologist in me wonders if this is because he... more is male, haha).
review 2: This entire series and the couples in it are all amazing, but Jessie and Zach stole my heart from the scene in the basement and they would give it back. The storyline was so cute and the way the two of them both went into the relationship oblivious to the fact it was in fact a relationship was wonderful. I loved how there was understanding and communication between them always; no unnecessary drama because they couldn't talk. It fit them perfectly. I want to see them have babies. Another huge win for Melanie Shawn! less
