review 1: This was ok. It was a freebie on Amazon. The pace of the book is incredibly fast, yet sometimes very slow and drawn out. It takes place over a wedding weekend. I lot happens in just 4 days. Katie returns back home after 10 years after her boyfriend's death. Jason (her boyfriend's best friend) is there to greet her and is secretly in love with her. He is determined to make her his. Lots of secrets are revealed - about the boyfriend - and lots of cattiness ensues. I wasn't crazy about Katie's panic attacks. It seemed over the top for me. I wanted more of a connection between Jason and Katie. This just wasn't a story that drew me in.
review 2: I was immediate drawn into this book. I did the peek inside on amazon and had to buy it. The characters were... more well thought out and meshed well together. Jason is very laid back and calm and Katie is all about energy.Jason was Katie's best friend growing up. Her boyfriend and Jason's other best friend died when they were almost 18. Katie is harboring huge amounts of guilt over that day. Jason has always loved Katie and wanted her for himself. Katie left after her boyfriends death and has never returned. She is coming back for Sophie's wedding as MOH and Jason is the BM. Old loves are un covered as the wedding weekend commences..Can they overcome their past to have a future?I will be reading the next in the series... less
