review 1: This was a cute little book. It was a super quick read. I stumbled across it because it was available for library download. Basically it boils down to a Romeo and Juliet spin off. In order to keep the city from ruin in the fallout of Romeo and Juliet's death a young Capulet and Montague are ordered to wed. Essentially different from Romeo and Juliet in that the two people to be married are not happy about it one bit. I wouldn't put this up on my best read list but I also wouldn't tell someone not to read it.
review 2: This story picks up where Shakespeare ends with Romeo & Juliet. Taub does a great job of keeping in the spirit of the writing style of Shakespeare, but also makes it very easy to follow and enjoy if you don't like iambic pentameter (but who
... moredoesn't?!) I loved the twists and turns, the questioning of R & J's choices and the mystery surrounding the city of Verona in tense times. Strong female characters and old favorites from the R & J make this a "must read" for young and old alike. Enjoy! less
