review 1: Oh dear god I love a good Christmas romance. I loved how well planned out the story was and how all the pieces just clicked in together at the end. This book made me extremely happy, although I was a blubbering mess a few times.I fell in love with every single character with the obvious exceptions of Nick and Kate. I just wanted such good things for them all. I'm sad to be finished this book; it was like a modern day fairy tale. AND to make it even better it was set in New York. I will never not be in love with New York.I couldn't recommend this book more highly. I really really did love it. I don't know why I'm not giving it 5. It just didn't feel like a five star book to me, but it is a very very high 4.
review 2: This is a very sweet chick lit escape that ge... morets a bit caught up in itself,hence the four over five stars. Holly works at a vintage store. She's a single mother whose son is 10 and whose father is virtually out of the picture, although his intentions are good. Her father has passed, her mother is at the edges of her life. She likes her life, but it might be time to change that a bit.One of her prized possessions is a charm bracelet, each trinket tells part of her story. So when she's checking over a donation, she finds a well loved bracelet similar to her own. Obviously a donor accidently forgot it. Now Holly sets out to find the owner or the family and return their story to them.A bit 'Same Time Next Year', a bit 'An Affair to Remember', this story is great escapist literature. I would recommend it and will read other Hill work less
