review 1: There comes a time in life when, to live a truly full & fulfilled life, one must look straight at themselves, the good, bad, ugly, beautiful, and form that consensus of who they (that one person) are and will become. Mistakes, horrible ones, will be made, trust will be broken, lives forever altered...yet if you, if I, see these changes and decisions as paths one must travel to decide who we are and want to be, then beauty, forgiveness, and peace does show through the shattered pieces. Bryan & Scott are examples of young men whose choices left them forever altered, giving us a true story of pain, discovery, forgiveness, and alteration. Thank you, Mia Kerick, for sharing this lovely story with us. I want to be that change I want to see in this world.
review 2:... more> I'm not a writer or reviewer. I'm not good with words, but I truly believe this book should be mandatory reading for high school students. If understanding the pain and self-doubt bullying can cause can help put an end to it for once and for all, the world would be a much better place for all youth and adults alike. Thank you Mia for putting forward a wonderful story about how things can get better. Recommended. less
