review 1: Well the last 20% of this book made it completely worth it. It was so emotional and I couldn't stop crying. Sadly, the first 80% was much of the same from the first book. There was only ONE time that Olivia said no to something and that was the ferry. I get that Trent was supposed to push her to try new things, but a lot of the times she just came across as whiney. I understood the reasons behind it, but I felt the writing could have been better so that the reader wasn't constantly annoyed with her. Overall, it was a good story, like the first book. Some of the writing is very juvenile, and I'm not sure if I can continue the series. The editing was a teeny tiny bit better than the first book, but still atrocious.
review 2: It was good but somewhat slow-paced al
... moreso. It had lots of touching moments but also fun parts.Olivia ~ She seemed a little stuck in the past not much but just a tad. Which was understandable! After she meets her dads family it was like she finally able to let it go somewhat! It was like she finally got her closure.Trace ~ He ran when he needed to stay, I got he didn't want to face the near future but at the same time he missed out on the last few days of his gramps life. What he did for Olivia I thought was very sweet and something he knew she needed in the end.Overall Its a good story and the characters are very down to earth and believable!Till next time ~ Sweets Books less
