review 1: I liked this book. I don't usually read any of the Vampire Hunter books, but this one wasn't that horrific. The author made mention of other English authors, such as Lord Byron, Agatha Christie, Shelley, and of course Charlotte Bronte. There was some mentioning of Mark Twain even. I am not going to give too much of the plot away. Jane Austen has somehow turned into a vampire, I will not say who turned her. She is also engaged to be married to a person who is not what he seems, at the end of the story it is all made clear. The settings were in Paris, Wales, England, Venice. merely as backdrop due to the architectural studies of Jane's fiancee. This was a very witty and quick paced book. I would recommend it to others who don't want to get into the Vampire Hunter bo... moreoks. This one is tame in comparison.
review 2: I would give this more of a 3.5 star rating as long as you know it's a quirky book and more of a lighthearted read. I read this book even though it has two books that precede it. Had heard that it can be a stand alone book which is true I just had a couple details I didn't pay attention to that I had to go back and check on before continuing. Thought the concept of Jane Austen as a vampire sounded fun and it held my attention! less

Cute cute cute and easy read. I hope this isn't the end of Jane's story.
