review 1: I read this book in less than 24 hours. I was hooked from the beginning and just ate up the rest of the book. It helps that I love rock star books.Lanie Vance is an intern at one of the biggest marketing firms in the country. When she gets the chance to land an account with Black Falcon, the countries hottest rock band, she second-guesses her business skills because she dated the lead singer, Noel Falcon, in high school. Ok, dated it putting it mildly - they were in love but she broke his heart after graduation because she doubted his success in the music industry and wanted him to take the "safer route" with his future and to to college with her.Once she meets back up with Noel, there's undeniable chemistry between the two. I won't get into details because I won't dish ou... moret spoilers. There's definitely a roller coaster romance here, complete with ups, downs, twists and turns. I felt a little throttled by Noel's hot/cold attitude toward stuff. He was a notorious rock star with groupies and strippers, but his heart belonged to Lanie for all those years. Lanie's view on her job and keeping her relationship with Noel strictly professional was admirable, but I knew it was for naught. There wouldn't have been a story if she would've just "kept it in her pants" so to speak. I'm intrigued to see where the rest of the series takes me. I recommend this book if you like rock star romances and you're looking for an easy read.
review 2: This was one of B&N's Rock Star Rogues recommendations....so glad I took a chance because now I am hooked on Michelle A. Valentine's world! With that being said, I love when you read a standalone or series and it make you feel like "shaking" the central & supporting characters! And Michelle does not disappoint. I don't want to give spoilers, so I will just let you know that I have downloaded the whole series, enough said. less
