Library Reads #31

Library Reads: I’m a Library Lover, so these posts are where I document the books I’ve borrowed from either one library, of a few libraries. I’ll tell you a little bit about what I expect from the book, or the author’s writings. Whether what I say is a sentence long, or a few sentence’s. From doing these posts, I hope to spread a little of my love for libraries, while also informing you of books that you may or may not have known of!

These are the books that I’ve borrowed from the beginning of September, to the first two weeks of October.

Dividing Eden by Joelle Charbonneau

I don’t really know what Dividing Eden is about, but it sounds kinda spooky, kinda dystopian-y. I also really liked Charbonneau’s other book, The Testing, so I have high hopes for this new book of hers.

Lifeblood by Gena Showalter

I am so excited to read Lifeblood. I’ve read the first book in the duology, Firstlife. I had one or two problems with the first book, as one does. But the rest of the book was pretty enjoyable! Especially with how Firstlife ended. I am so freaking excited to read Lifeblood.  I hope Lifeblood continues on right after Firstlife ends.

Midnight at the Electric by Jodi Lynn Anderson

Has a pretty cover, and I’ve liked the authors work before, so I thought to myself that I may as well try and read the book since I had gotten Midnight at the Electric from the library! Actually looking into what the book is about though, has proved to be…interesting at best, since I don’t usually enjoy books that travel back in time for whatever reason. However! I’m willing to give Midnight at the Electric a try.

Written in Red by Anne Bishop

I’ve waited literal years to read this book. I waited a long, long time for the other books in the series to be published, and even then I waited a little bit longer so I’d be able to borrow Written in Red without having to read it right away. The reason why I waited so long to actually read Written in Red is because I remember how much the book blew up on tumblr. It seemed like everyone who I followed had read the book, and either enjoyed it, didn’t like it, or didn’t even talk about the book. So I really want to know what happens in Written in Red.

The Inquisition by Taran Matharu

The Inquisition is the second book in the Summoner series. I read the first book The Novice a little while ago (sometime last year, I believe). When I finished reading The Novice I really wanted to get my hands on The Inquisition. However, I had lots of books to read before that so I put off borrowing the book. Now I feel like continuing on in the series, so I am!

Dead Heat by Patricia Briggs

Dead Heat is the fourth book in the Alpha & Omega series. And I’m so freakin’ excited! I’ve been wanting to read Dead Heat for a loooong time. Now I can finally read it, and continue on in Charles’ and Anna’s story. I’m not going to read the synopsis though, since I don’t want to spoil the book for myself.

A Million Times Goodnight by Kristina McBride

I know I’ve borrowed A Million Times Goodnight. I still haven’t read it though. Which is upsetting, since I’m actually pretty interested in what is supposed to happen in A Million Times Goodnight.

Have you borrowed any books from the library recently?

I’m thinking of borrowing an audio book, but I don’t know what one yet. — If you have any audio book recommendations, I’ll check them out!

Happy Reading!
Adele
