review 1: The truth is objective, and we call it science. Our interpretation of the truth is subjective, and we call it art. The interpretation is our creation, and it is only truth by agreement.Humans are born with awareness; we are born to perceive the truth, but we accumulate knowledge, and we learn to deny what we perceive. You're telling yourself a story, but is it the truth? If we tell ourselves a story of self-rejection and self-judgement, we use the word against ourselves. We are all secondary characters in other peoples' movies, and they never perceive us the same way we perceive ourselves. Primarily because everyone is focused on their own movie, and they do not know your backstory. They don't even know they've watching a movie.Nobody understands you, not even yourself. Not t... moreaking anything personally allows you to be free of others' opinions. Our belief system is a mirror that shows us only what we want to believe. When you always do your best, you're taking action, you're transforming yourself, changing the dream of your life. When you unlearn, you begin by facing what you believe. With the power of doubt you challenge everything you send out and receive.I am responsible for only half the message. I am responsible for what I say, I am not responsible for what you hear and understand. The truth doesn't come with words. The truth is something you feel without words.Adults can only teach what they know, not what they don't know.Humans are the only animal on Earth that punish ourselves and others a thousand times over for one mistake,Faith in yourself means you trust life. The mind no longer needs to understand everything.Once you have awareness, you are no longer a victim.Do animals need to know the symbol for what they are? They don't care. They just are. They don't need symbols to justify their existence.Your presence is the message.Respect means accepting things the way they are. What kind of messenger are you? One that brings lies and gossip? Or one that spreads compassion and kindness?
review 2: This book sequel to "the Four Agreements" is just as great read and a mind opener to self love and spiritual path. I have read this book twice and the second time I had read it, it felt like I was reading it for the first time again. I'm not sure why, it might be because his writing in this book make me come to a self realization with life and how people think and work with each other. Once going through the first four agreements, the fifth one seems to be good ending for the book almost like in neat bow to sum up what you need to do for self mastery, to take control of your life. I see this book as very spiritual and a great insight on life itself. it is a great read and I would recommend it. But first I think it would be even better to read "the Four Agreements" first. less

While a lot of people might suggest skipping reading The Four Agreements and heading straight to this book, I disagree. I think a lot of valuable insight can be gained from relearning the four agreements. Part II of the book, which focused on the fifth agreement, confused me at first. It wasn't until the end of the book that I started to grasp the point the authors were trying to get across, so after I finished, I went back and reread the first half of Part II. Doing so helped me understand the message immensely.

Reading this book was a good reminder from "The four agreements" but with new perspective. I definitely need to keep this book rotating into my reading list as I continue my journey of growth. The fifth agreement is deep and I can honestly say I don't think I grasped it all, however I find myself listening while being skeptical and looking at life through a slightly different lens now, so I look forward to reading it again in time with furthered growth and change.

I like the first book way better, too much repetition, it was a bit boring.
