review 1: It is unbelievable how this book helped me change my view regarding the stereotypical hollywoodian love I had in mind. Romanian romance was different back in the day and I feel sorry that it remained a memory of the past. The author certainly manages to lure you in the story and the tangles that form between characters in a way one never/rarely experienced before when reading. The ending was certainly a surprise to me which brought me to tears, but I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone. I feel that this novel is must read for all the people who have fallen head-over-heels for the naive soup opera idea of what relationships are like, as it would give them a cold shower with how reality was and still is, even now, all around the world.
review 2: It was a really
... moregreat love story, but it didn't really grab me as much as I thought it would.I read it because a friend of mine is obsessed with Mihail Drumes and she said that she absolutely loved this book and that I would too. And I did, at first, it was sweet and romantic and really lovely how they kept running into each other. But for some reason it started getting dull, and I found myself putting off reading another chapter for ages and ages and I knew then that no matter how great the book was, it just wasn't for me (which is strange because I read a lot of crappy romances...). less

One of the best books I've read. Perfect love story ruined by human nature.
