review 1: When I first started reading this, I was kind of like, ho hum, another color book--thinking that other ones have done it better. Not that this was bad, just not great. And then we got to the mixing colors part and the 4 gray monsters get to pick their new favorite color. The first one picks orange and the 4th, smallest monster says orange! The 2nd one picks green and the littlest monster says green! Then when they're coloring the monster green, he says, me next! just like the little kid he is. Then the 3rd monster says purple! and the little guy says 'hey, buddy! I was supposed to say purple!' But he's still happy when that guy turns purple. And then he finally gets his chance to choose...what will he pick? Read it and find out and see if that little guy tickles you as muc... moreh as he did me!
review 2: Great picture book which goes through all the primary colours and then what combinations make other colours, by the colouring in of monsters page by page. Apart from the great colourful pages there is also the littlest monster who on each page has something to say and is the last to be coloured in. What colour will he be??? another frequently requested book. The kids love telling me what the colours are on each page and after each reading often go the drawing table and try to recreate the colour combos. less
