review 1: Reading this book made me want to go out and buy a bunch of LEGO to try and make something remotely as awesome as the people in this book do. I never really thought of LEGO as an art form, but this book really amazed me, because everyone starts with the same right-angled bricks, and each person creates something completely different from the next. The LEGO creations in this book span from something as simple as a sandwich, to entire fantasy-based villages. Space travel and battle bots weren't really my thing, but luckily there were so many other creations in there, my favourites being the food references and movie characters!
review 2: I don't understand how some of these things could have been made with LEGOs, but they are incredibly cool nonetheless. There
... more are plenty of the spaceships and action figures you'd expect, but also rotary phones, crumbling Victorian mansions, cathedrals, birds, dogs, Chinese landscapes, classic cars, scenes from Monty Python skits and Miyazaki movies, and figures like Cap'n Crunch and Stephen Hawking. Fun and inspirational (makes me wish I were more creative). less
