Synopsis: Feyre survived Amarantha’s clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can’t forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin’s people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.

With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas’s masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights (Goodreads).

Review: You guys, I absolutely loved this book! It was perfection. I read this book directly after finishing ACOTAR and knowing that in about two months A Court of Wings and Ruin was going to be released (I originally read this the beginning of March). In anticipation of ACOWAR being released I reread ACOTAR and ACOMAF- I loved them just as much, if not more, the second time around.

Things I Liked

  • Feyre’s character development: In my opinion, Feyre’s actions and her reactions to the world around her were real. Everything wasn’t suddenly okay after the end of ACOTAR and I never felt during the book that Feyre suddenly snapped out of her depression; she worked her way through it like someone would in real life.
  • World Building: We finally get to see inside a Court of Prythian other than the Spring Court! Maas’ descriptions of the Night Court are amazingly and its palpable just how beautiful and airy Rhysand’s court is. And Velaris. We get to visit Velaris.
  • Rhysand: Okay, so I loved Rhys during ACOTAR because I mean, he’s Rhysand, but it was great seeing him in his element during this book. We are given an insight into the motivations behind his actions, his dreams and desires… and his history. All of which made me love his character more.
  • The Supporting Characters: The Inner Circle, plus Elaine and Nesta, were amazing as always. I love how different yet so similar the members of the Inner Circle are. I could read spin-off novels about every single member. Truly I could. Sarah Maas, want to help me out here?
  • The House of Mist!!
  • Things I Didn’t Like

I’m not sure there’s anything that I didn’t like about A Court of Mist and Fury. Except that maybe it was too short and ended too soon?!
